Nature Rushes For No One,

there is no time crunch

for the natural cycle of life

for the leaves to lean into the sunlight

and to let go when they are ready.

The wind catches my chest

so tight from this artificial rush

Why must humans be so attached

to the illusion of control?

I felt nearly blinded by the loss aversion.

almost unable to see what may be found...

As I catch my breath

and take a seat below the branches,

the call of birds

fly into my eardrums

bringing me closer to this given moment

The branches that hang over me,

lean in and hug me,

They remind me that,

I am just like them, here, now.

I am reminded that

I am not late

I am not missing something

I am where I am supposed to be

Following my natural cycle.
